BIOGRAPHY

Reynolds' paintings are meditations on universal human questions and anxieties, formed through the lens of trauma and memory. From explorations of death to the complexities of the self, her paintings pose as riddles or poems that ask to be solved. While primarily self-taught, Reynolds has studied with artists across the country by way of apprenticeships, community arts programming, and (some) formal education. Reynolds recently had a two-person exhibition at One Trick Pony Gallery︎︎︎ in Los Angeles, CA and has shown work with Swivel Gallery︎︎︎, Brooklyn, NY, Monti8︎︎︎, Latina, Italy and Tchotchke Gallery︎︎︎, New York, NY.

Lauren Reynolds lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
